Excavation of the rampart is progressing. A number of Roman pits, which were cut into the top of the Iron Age rampart, have been excavated. We are planning to dig down through the rampart to find the level of the natural soil.

An early Neolithic leaf-shaped arrowhead found in the area of the rampart. This dates to c. 3600 BC and is the first definite evidence for Early Neolithic activity on the site.
